The first day of my new programming was successful! I have created a week’s worth of workouts. I am including yoga, a warm-up, a daily skill, 2 days of Olympic Weightlifting (with short burnouts on those days), one day of long work (Saturday or Sunday), and rest on Wednesdays and the non-working weekend day. I am definitely open to adjusting this as I get the feel. My current skill work is double-unders. I think that, in July, I’ll do a kettlebell skill. I am running 400m for most every warm-up. If I have a workout which is heavily run based, I’ll use the Airdyne or Concept 2. I want to keep all of the runs outside – that is, no treadmill. Today’s 400m felt pretty decent. My time wasn’t great, but that will come.
